I formed Pro-Excel in 2002, having worked in elite professional sport for a number of years and having been seconded to both Sporting Governing Bodies to develop Community Sports Marketing Strategy and to the Government to work on bringing education and sport together.
Our answer was to combine the arts, education, and major sport in a totally inclusive manner, and work with aspiring performers to develop some of the most exciting and challenging Sports Presentation.
Over 2 decades we have professionally choreographed and created some of the biggest mass movement productions in the sporting world, designing stunning opening and closing ceremonies, pre-match and half time shows for major sporting events.
We hold a Guinness World Record for the most dancers ever to back a pop star; over a quarter of a million student contacts, almost 60,000 performing to live audiences in excess of 3 million, and a TV audience touching one billion around the world. We have performed at every single major UK sports stadium.
Our ethos has always been to exceed the limits, inspire brilliance amongst all our participants, regardless of social, cultural, ethnic background, regardless of ability, disability or religious denomination.

From Bad, Comes Good...2021
It’s ‘lights out and away we go’ for our 2021 British Formula One Grand Prix Mass-Movement Dance Showcase, and we couldn’t be more delighted to share this news with you. Tears have been shed over the last 2 weeks following the postponement of this year’s event, but as one of our motto’s go “from bad, comes good” - very good, in fact!
Once again this will involve dance schools, secondary schools, academies, performing arts colleges, gymnastics and acro clubs from across Great Britain, Europe and the United States of America, along with approximately two-thousand performers, who will come together for what will be one of the biggest mass-movement dance presentations to take place at a major sporting event anywhere in the world next summer.
This project is now in its 10th year and, with thanks to the invaluable support from the teams at Silverstone Race Circuit and Formula One Management, along with that of all of our schools, students and their families – our Pro-Excel Family – it is now recognised as one of the most sought after performance opportunities in the world of dance.
Applications for schools to join the project are now invited, and we cannot wait to have you all part of this very special event with us.
